Stephen Gardner is a founding member of zerohash. and currently serves as the company's Chief Legal Officer. Zerohash is the leading infrastructure provider for crypto, stablecoin, and tokenized assets. Its API and embeddable dev-kit enables innovators to easily launch solutions across cross-border payments, commerce, trading, remittance, payroll, tokenization and on/off-ramps. zerohash powers solutions for some of the largest and innovative companies including Interactive Brokers, Stripe, Shift4, Franklin Templeton, Felix Pago, Kalshi and LightSpark. Zero Hash group entities hold several regulatory registrations and licenses, including 49 MTLs and 2 BitLicenses in the United States.

Prior to joining zerohash, Stephen worked in KPMG US’s risk advisory group consulting financial institutions on compliance program activities relating to retail banking and broker-dealer business lines. Stephen also practiced in regulatory compliance and financial services law with Ulmer & Berne LLP and Buckley Sandler LLP (now a part of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP). His legal practice included assisting in regulatory actions brought by the CFPB, FDIC, SEC, FINRA and various state regulators relating to retail banking and broker-dealer activities and representing financial firms in securities litigation matters.
