Stephen Gardner is a founding member of Zero Hash Holdings Ltd. and currently serves as the company's Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Zero Hash Holdings is a B2B2C crypto-as-a-service infrastructure platform that allows any platform to embed digital assets natively into their own customer experience quickly and easily through a matter of API endpoints. Zero Hash powers neo-banks, broker-dealers, payment groups as well as non-financial brands to offer digital asset trading and custody, crypto-backed rewards and round-ups programs. Zero Hash group entities hold several regulatory registrations and licenses, including 48 MTLs and 2 BitLicenses in the United States.

Prior to joining Zero Hash, Stephen worked in KPMG US’s risk advisory group consulting financial institutions on compliance program activities relating to retail banking and broker-dealer business lines. Stephen also practiced in regulatory compliance and financial services law with Ulmer & Berne LLP and Buckley Sandler LLP (now a part of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP). His legal practice included assisting in regulatory actions brought by the CFPB, FDIC, SEC, FINRA and various state regulators relating to retail banking and broker-dealer activities and representing financial firms in securities litigation matters.
