Robb Layfield is Managing Director and Head of Digital Assets at Customers Bank, where he leads the development of banking infrastructure and financial products for the digital asset ecosystem. His work centers on connecting blockchain-based systems with regulated financial institutions through solutions such as real-time payments, tokenized deposits and the operational frameworks required to support 24/7 financial markets.

Since joining Customers Bank, Robb has helped scale the bank’s digital assets business from an early-stage initiative into a multi-billion-dollar platform, reflecting broader institutional adoption and the bank’s commitment to innovation, safety and responsive execution.

Previously, Robb helped launch Silvergate Bank’s SEN, the first real-time payment/settlement network, working closely with institutional investors, exchanges and fintech firms as they navigated the evolution of crypto currency markets.

He is an active voice in conversations with regulators, policymakers and industry leaders on the future of financial market infrastructure, with a particular focus on the intersection of traditional banking, digital assets and systemic risk.
