Claire Wells is Chief Legal Officer at Kiln, the leading crypto infrastructure company focused on staking and decentralized finance (DeFi) yield services for businesses. In her current role at Kiln, Claire oversees Legal, Compliance and Public Policy functions. She has spent her career working with policy makers and regulators around the globe promoting the need for proportionate regulation for the crypto industry.  Prior to joining Kiln, she has worked for a number of leading Fintechs and Digital Asset companies including Coinbase, Circle, Plaid, Tilt (acquired by Airbnb). She was also a Board member for Blockchain for Europe. She trained and qualified at A&O Shearman and holds an MA from Cambridge University.
